The Good Life Experience 2015
Last weekend I headed up to North Wales with my sister to The Good Life Experience and what a weekend it was. It’s the festival’s second year and I just loved it. I loved the intimacy of it, its simplicity and its uncomplicated style. I spent the two days just Being. I had moments to just sit, enjoy time with my sister, talk, laugh, eat, drink and enjoy the outdoors.
As it was a big celebration for my sister, I decided we needed to start the weekend on the right footing by starting our little getaway by hiring one of the bell tents. They were pitched in the ground of the estate overlooking the new castle and it was a joy to take in the views.
The bell tent area had its own breakfast station,a stone built summerhouse which I adored and would have been quite happy to pick it up and place it where our beach hut is back here, complete with woodburning stove.
In the main festival area, we dined on crab rolls, chicken wraps and delicious breads and cheeses from the Hawarden Farm Shop. We watched some great cooking demos from my favourite cooks and danced until my tootsies hurt.
Here is some campfire dinners I have cooked before.
