Cocktail Season Has Started! Rose Vermouth Sparkle Cocktail
We are fabulously happy to have our new beach hut up and we can’t get enough of it. We are still painting the outside, which seems to thirstily drink-up every layer of paint we apply and we still have shelves to put up. Anyway mid-painting I made a cocktail, which has been bubbling away in the back of my mind since I visited a local Turkish supermarket a couple of months ago and found some delicious Rose Petal Jam.
Roll on summer; I’m ready and waiting for you. I want to waste a serious amount of time sitting and chatting with my family watching the sea waving at me.
Rose Vermouth Sparkle (Serves 8)
8 tablespoons Rose Jam (look in Turkish or Middle Eastern Supermarkets)
200ml Dry Vermouth, chilled
1 bottle of Cava or Prosecco, chilled
Fresh rose petals, optional
In a cocktail shaker, shake together the vermouth, jam until well blended, pour into the bottom of each glass, and top up with the chilled Cava/Prosecco. Give a little stir and a rose petal before serving.
More shots of inside the hut will follow – just need to finish off that painting!!
