Some Like it Hut. Cooking with Riverford Recipe Boxes
Hurrah! The new beach hut is up! Newer, bigger hut and up for longer! All good.
I can’t stop thinking of long lazy lunches at the hut that spiral into late night suppers with twinkly lights and plenty of giggles.
As the season continues and the weather gets warmer, we find ourselves spending more and more time at the beach hut but first we must finish the painting and putting up shelves. So when Riverford sent me one of their new recipe boxes, I was delighted to have all that I needed to cook some healthy and delicious meals at the hut while we prepare the hut for painting etc.
Riverford’s Recipe Boxes provide three delicious organic meals. All ingredients are provided, no waste, simple detailed instructions on how to cook – perfect. And I loved the simplicity of it all.
This is the first of three dishes I cooked at the hut (can’t stress how perfect it is to have everything measured out ready to use).
Delicious combination of onion, wild garlic, hazelnuts, lemon, chicken and thyme. Utterly tasty and simple to make, even if like me, you don’t have electricity at the hut to make a smooth pesto sauce and only a camping stove.
I rather enjoyed using Riverford’s Recipe Boxes and I thought they would be perfect to take on a self catering holiday so that you don’t have to rush to the shops the moment you arrive. Everything provided was used and all packaging can be recycled. The food was rather delicious too.
