With the festivities behind us and ready to embrace the long run up to summer, I'm ready for something new, something fresh and exciting. Sadly summertime is leaving us and what a fabulous summer it has been; filled with fun times of long lazy afternoons at the beach hut that turned into barbecue suppers. We maxed out our days with sea swims, messing about on the boat and retreating into the shade of the hut to eat easy yet delicious foods. (more…)
We’re planning a trip to Barcelona, a quick getaway, just the two of us for our wedding anniversary. I’ve always wanted to go. My Husband has been many times with work and would often tell me about great markets and restaurants that he had found and that we really should go. So after remembering how he spoke of all the delicious foods he ate that was it; destination booked. (more…)
Like many busy families, time together is precious. All families have to fit a lot in to their downtime so meal times are often snatched last minute affairs so when you stumble across a winner of a dinner such as Fajitas you know you can relax as all is good. (more…)
I’m a bit late posting about Father’s Day but I’ve been seriously busy doing stuff and having fun. Both I’ve enjoyed but the having fun part has been wonderful and I never want it to end. I love all the seasons but summer is Top of the Charts for us. Our most favourite part of summer is a sea swim with something to eat in our beach hut afterwards so…
My name is Elinor Hill, aka "Beach Hut Cook". I am lucky enough to live by the sea, and I spend a ridiculous amount of time there in our beach hut. I love cooking simple and tasty food for my family, often down the hut or carefully transported to it. There is nothing better than a feast by the sea with the odd cocktail or two thrown in.
