Four Easy Gin Cocktails

Four Easy Gin Cocktails

When I made my Banana Muffins You Tube Video many of you let me know that you would love to make cocktails but they can be messy and expensive.  So I’ve put together a video showing you how you can make four cocktails with just one spirit and that spirit is Gin.

Lots of quick cheats on how to stretch out that cocktail experience and all recipes are below.

2 cocktails in one.  Simply make double Gimlets to stretch out that cocktail experience.

Gimlet and a Gin Fizz

(Serves 1 of each)

GIMLET

45ml gin

15ml lime cordial

Ice cubes

Place in a shaker and shake, strain.

GIN FIZZ

Pour Gimlet into tall glass filled with ice.  Add 15ml lime juice and stir

Garnish with a lime.

A two in one cocktail to lengthen that cocktail experience.

Bees Knees and a Queen Bee

HONEY AND ROSEMARY SYRUP

Half cup of honey

Half cup of water

2 sprigs of rosemary

60ml gin

20-30ml honey syrup

15ml lemon juice

Ice cubes

Rosemary sprig

HONEY AND ROSEMARY SYRUP

Bring to boil and simmer for about 5 minutes.  Remove from heat to cool.  Once cool remove the rosemary.  This will keep for a week in the fridge.

In a shaker, add 60ml gin, 20-30ml honey syrup and 15ml lemon juice.

Add ice and shake vigorously.

Pour into glass and add rosemary sprig.

QUEEN BEE

In a flute glass, pour some of the Bees Knees in the bottom of the glass and top with chilled sparkling wine.

The Honey and Rosemary syrup can be used to top a maderia cake as it comes out of the oven or in a hot chocolate.
